I think it has CUDA support for GTX2xx and possibly GTX4xx and AMD HD6xxx & HD5xxx. Also, when monitoring my components, GPU is basically idle while rendering.

This forum is full of clever people willing and able to help with strange issues that can come up with Vegas. But here is a clear indicator on why I have stuck with Vegas and will continue to do so. Update: I wrote original post below being fully frustrated after a week of failed rendering attempts.
